The attending doctor claimed there were no beds or doctors available in Kamloops or Kelowna or Vancouver, so I had to pay $11,000.00 to be medivaced to Calgary. Please, don't count on anyone looking after you if you are hurt!! I would say "beware" to those planning on attending the Olympics. You might be in for a big surprise. And the health minister in B.C. said I was not his problem!!! AS an Albertan visiting B.C. I fell on a B.C. tourism site and shattered my hip.
