Muchmor magazine is full of interesting interesting information about the region, it’s people and the businesses that trade in the and around the local area.

Our editorial is friendly, family focused, relaxed and conversational aimed at people just like you – readers eager to share their own stories, travel tips and experiences. We love to use freelance material and most of our featured articles rarely run to more than 800 words. So everything is easy to read and above all entertaining to our audience – you!

So if you’ve ever fancied yourself as a bit of a writer why not send something in? If you do submit something make sure the first page of any submission contains your name, mailing address, phone number and above all your email address.

Please note that we do not publish fiction instead we invite people like you to share their own real life stories, destinations that you feel other muchmor readers would love to visit, weekend breaks that are perhaps off the beaten track or different from the norm. Tell us about people in your community who have made a difference or events that are taking place over the summer. We’d also love to hear about local businesses that have gone the extra mile and offer great service.

You’re also more than welcome to email your photo’s to us. Have you captured a unique community event, a fabulous Canadian landscape or feel your town, city or community just deserves a bit of publicity?

To help us handle the wave of email, please follow these easy steps:

Don’t forget to include your name. Print your name, email, address and daytime telephone number on the first page of each submission.

Keep it short. Don’t write more than 600 – 800 words; even then, we want to include as many people as we can, so we’ll probably edit or condense your letter. However if your article is exceptional we may contact you directly to discuss a longer feature.

Format. Please provide articles in either, .doc, .pdf or Mac .pages format

Photos. Email us good quality pictures, please send a JPG or TIFF image.

Returns? We won’t be able to acknowledge submissions, but if you’d like any photos returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope. And please be patient; we receive a lot of material, and it can take us a while to catch up. Written submissions become our property on publication and may be considered for use in a muchmor magazine promotional piece or on our web site. In submitting a photo you grant us permission to reproduce it in muchmor magazine and in other printed media, in promotions and on the Internet as single images.

At Muchmor Media we welcome occasional and regular contributors to our publications and website. However we do have certain guidelines we need you to adhere to:

• Article length maximum 800 +/- words. Extended content at discretion of editor.
• You should be the original author and be legally entitled to distribute your work we accept no responsibility for posting items that provided to us in good faith. We will remove any items immediately if informed by the original owner that copyright has been infringed.
• By submitting your article you are agreeing that Muchmor Media can publish said article in publications and on websites owned by them
• Title should be concise but inviting and descriptive
• Your submission should read either like a news story or an editorial. Promotion of yourself, company, products, or services is not acceptable.
• Third person writing is best for “how to articles,” advice, or factual information. First person accounts are ideal for sharing personal experiences or making recommendations.
• Articles should not include any affiliate links
• Article should not include any links to your website
• Articles can be submitted via email to article@muchmormedia.com in Microsoft Word or Mac Pages format
• Authors photograph may be supplied. It’s use is at the discretion of the editor
• Additional, relevant images may be supplied to accompany the article and will be used at the discretion of the editor. You should have the legal entitlement to use the images
• Muchmor Media is not able to compensate writers
• Author may provide a short bio (approx. 35 words) about themselves which will be added to the end of the article. This may include your contact details including a link to your website and/or email
• Muchmor Media reserves the right to edit, shorten or refuse articles.
