The housing market may be recovering, but is experiencing an undersupply of homes for sale in southern Ontario and elsewhere in Canada. That’s according to the latest house price survey by Royal LePage.

The number of Canadians getting employment insurance benefits grew in February by 44,300, or 7.8 per cent, when compared to the previous month, Statistics Canada said Tuesday. Since job growth wilted beginning in October 2008, the number of regular EI beneficiaries has climbed 21.9 per cent to hit 610,200 in February.
